A Special Honorary Event in Remembrance of Creator and Animator, Gil Alkabetz

Gil Alkabetz’s incredible creativity combines cultural splendor, entertaining observations, endless curiosity, generosity and lots of talent. The program will feature a collection of his work and we’ll hear from cartoon creator and curator, Tsahi Farber, who’ll discuss Alkabetz’s modernist painting, illustration and cartoon style as well as his artistic and cultural influences; the illustrator, Itamar Dauba, who oversaw Rubicon and Alkabetz’s tribute project at Shenkar College; animator and artist, Anna Samo, who considers Alkabetz her spiritual and creative father figure; and animator and animation historian, Tsvika Oren, who is also curating the program.
